Incredibly beautiful and realistic sculptural composition Egoise Egoism depicting a little boy eating a ripe fruit in front of a hungry monkey. The work is made of Terre cuite fired clay with patinated polychromy in the style of orientalism (orientalism from Latin orientalis - eastern - a direction in the development of Western European culture. In most sources, the chronological boundaries of the orientalist movement are determined by the 18th - early 20th centuries. In the field of artistic culture, the style forms an invalid , but the imaginary, idealized world of the East, in particular, in works of art).
Period: 1892

At the bottom of the sculpture is the author's name Egoise. On the bottom is the Schutz Mark stamp in dough, registered under the trademark Deponirt in Germany and dating from around 1892.
