At the bottom of the sculpture, under the glaze with a chisel in the test, there is the author's mark of the master, the mark of the Opishnia factory "Artistic Ceramics".
The sculpture is voluminous, massive, heavy.
The creator has many awards and regalia in his arsenal, including the title of Honored Master of Folk Art, a member of the National Union of Folk Art Masters and the National Union of Artists. The magnificent sculptural images of Vasily Omelianenko undoubtedly confirm the well-deserved title of "clay sorcerer".

At the age of 95, the heart of the outstanding Ukrainian potter Vasily Onufrievich Omelyanenko stopped. The contribution of the master of clay toys and zoomorphic sculpture to the development of folk art crafts is invaluable for Ukraine. Now each of his surviving works is just worth its weight in gold!
The master's work was mainly dominated by sculptural images of people, lions, rams, bulls, roosters, goats, both in the form of large cumans and small whistles.
The sculpture was brought from Ukraine. I'll pass it on in person
